MARIA RIBAS

Maria Ribas (1997) is a Portuguese dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Her work blends contemporary dance, physical theatre, and performance and visual art, creating innovative pieces across various platforms. She has performed with ICKamsterdam (2019-2022) and Ballet National de Marseille (2015-2018), and has since collaborated with a wide range of artists while also choreographing for physical theatre and presenting her own work. Maria’s dedication to her craft has earned her recognition, including a nomination for the Swan Award for Best Dance Performance (2020) and gold and silver medals at international dance competitions. She also teaches double skin double mind, ballet, improvisation and individual coaching.
