This is a dance healing workshop which is aimed to help you:

  • Discover how to be moved by feelings and emotions, and find support in life by dancing

  • Learn how to trust your own body and how to trust others

  • Dance and live in peace and harmony.

Participants will be guided deep inside of conciseness with the aim to find and then focus on weak points. If we can better understand our weak points and build empathy toward ourselves, it helps to feel more free and strong enough to move on.

You don't have to be a professional dancer or have dance experience in order to attend this workshop. All you need is an open mind and to be ready to dance with and from your heart.

This is the third time we are hosting this workshop at Zhembrovskyy, and new elements include the Sufi dance (Darwish dance) which is a kind of physically active meditation and it will help us experience the connection between spirituality and dance.

Ahmad Joudeh is a dancer and a choreographer from Syria. In October 2016, with help of The Dutch National Ballet, he moved to The Netherlands from Syria, a country devastated by the civil war. Since 2017, with Amsterdam as the base, Ahmad has been internationally active. For more information about Ahmad and his career, please visit his website.

The workshop will be held over 2 days.
